It is with great joy that we announce that Newtown Synagogue will be open for prayer services on Friday night and Shabbat morning!

If you would like to attend, you will need to register to attend as the NSW government requires us to keep a register to allow for contact-tracing for COVID.

Thank G-d the spread of COVID-19 has dropped almost completely across NSW and the NSW Government now allows religious services at houses of worship for up to 50 people at a time. The Sydney Beth Din have also issued guidelines allowing services with necessary safety precautions. While we’re glad to resume services, we must continue to be vigilant for people’s safety.

Rabbi Feldman’s facebook page will continue to  broadcast live services and classes three times a week, and you can watch them by logging in to Facebook, or catch up below.

Visit at the below times to watch live:

Wednesday 8:30pm – Torah studies class – participate live and ask questions, or catch up afterwards by watching the video.

Saturday 7:00pm – Havdalah service – you can also participate in our step-by-step Havdalah, if you have a cup of kosher wine or grape juice, some spices (cloves or cinnamon) and a Havdalah candle.
